How to Heal Osteoporosis – An Integrative Approach

Recently, I saw a patient who was being treated by a doctor for her borderline osteoporosis. She had lost quite a bit of bone while going through menopause. I was shocked to find out that this doctor had not ordered the proper lab tests and had simply prescribed medications. These medications, in my opinion, were not necessary in her case and were, in the long term, potentially damaging to her bones. Another patient treated for osteoporosis by an alternative doctor was given so much bio-identical estrogen that it permanently damaged her thyroid. Yet another patient, given herbs for bone loss, continued to lose bone.

I am so tired of women being given useless – even harmful – advice about osteoporosis! To correct this situation I have created a webinar series that presents the knowledge and insights into osteoporosis that I have gained over the past 20 years. I will give you specific strategies to rebuild your bones. The series, “How to Heal Osteoporosis – An Integrative Approach,” takes place live on the Internet. You can log on through your computer, listen in, and ask questions in the comfort of your own home, without any special software, and without having to go anywhere. This series is for people who have been diagnosed with osteoporosis or osteopenia, and for health care practitioners who would like to be able to help their patients with this diagnosis.

Is this series for you? Ask yourself these questions:

  • Have you gone to multiple doctors yet you’re still not feeling “right” about your condition and/or treatment?
  • Do you feel that your health care provider is offering you a one-size-fits-all approach?
  • Would you like to know if you are losing bone?
  • Would you like to know what is causing your bone loss rather than treating it superficially with drugs?
  • Do you want to know whether the medication you are considering (or taking) is the right one or even appropriate for you?
  • Are you concerned about the safety or need for the medications you’ve been recommended (or are currently taking)?
  • Do you want to make sure you are taking the correct supplements, and eating a healthy, bone-building diet?
  • Are you ready to finally figure out which exercise program is best for your condition?
  • Are you determined to maintain your physical independence as you age? Do you want to be physically fit, and not afraid that you’re going to break a bone?
  • Are you ever afraid of being confined to a nursing home in old age because this condition has gotten so bad?
  • Do you have a million questions about osteoporosis and osteopenia and want answers to them ALL?

If you answered “YES”, to any of these questions, this webinar series is for you.

Who Am I, and Why Should You Listen to Me?

In 1992 I was diagnosed with borderline osteoporosis. At 60 years of age I still roller skate. Am I crazy or do I know something? I know something!

My own diagnosis of osteoporosis has fueled my passion to unravel the tangled web of information regarding diagnosis and treatment options. When I was diagnosed with borderline osteoporosis I was frightened. I did not know what it meant. Did it mean that I had to give up tennis or riding my bike out of fear that I might fall and break a bone? Did it mean that I could easily break my hip and end up in a wheelchair? So began my quest to learn everything I could about the condition. During this pursuit I discovered that I had a serious vitamin D deficiency. I am now gaining bone with vitamin D supplementation and other techniques and approaches I have learned over the years. I will share these findings with you in the webinar series. I now enjoy the active, independent, and healthy life I always wanted. I am no longer afraid my skeletal structure will give out on me.

My interest in the skeletal structure has been a passion for over 40 years. My qualifications include:

  • Owned and directed the Osteoporosis Diagnostic Center and the East Bay Menopause and PMS Center in Oakland, CA from 1994 -1997. I personally analyzed and wrote the reports for all our patients.
  • Attended and presented at numerous medical and alternative osteoporosis seminars and conferences over the past 15 years throughout the United States.
  • Belonged to the Foundation for Osteoporosis Education’s Bone and Mineral Club and attended quarterly meetings.
  • Iyengar Yoga instructor 1977 – 1984, focusing on body mechanics and balance.
  • Studied weight training with numerous trainers and learned correct exercise positioning and specific training techniques for increasing bone density.
  • Osteology and spinal anatomy instructor, 1983 – 1987.
  • Received chiropractic license 1984.
  • Owned and directed an X-ray clinic for clinicians for over 10 years.
  • Worked with radiologist learning how to read x-rays beyond what chiropractors and medical doctors who are not radiologists are taught.
  • Teach continuing education seminars to health care providers on menopause and osteoporosis, 1999 – present.
  • Provide consultations for private patients for osteoporosis.

I have helped patients gain bone mass or stabilize bone loss while finding the cause of their bone loss. I have helped countless patients reach confident decisions regarding their bone density problems. While I do believe medications have their place in some instances, I also believe they are way over-prescribed. I have forged a balance between standard drug-based approaches (when necessary) and integrative approaches involving diet, exercise, and targeted supplements.
I am known as the practitioner other doctors send their “toughest cases” to.

What will you get out of this webinar series?

  • You will learn The 5 Most Important Things to Avoid That Can Lead to Bone Loss (you are probably doing at least 2-3 of these without knowing it, and perhaps all five.)
  • You will learn The 5 Most Important Things to Do to Build and Maintain Bone Mass (most women I talk with are only doing 1-2 of these, and sometimes none.)
  • You will understand, once and for all, the correct diet for people with osteoporosis, and what changes you may need to make to support bone health.
  • You will learn exactly which exercise programs are most effective at increasing bone mass and promoting balance.
  • You will learn if you have an underlying digestive problem, a significant risk factor for bone loss.
  • You will learn which supplements you should be taking, how much, and when.
  • You will also learn how to interpret bone density tests and what blood and urine tests are needed to evaluate bone loss
  • You will feel relief and ease around your situation, because you will know you are moving in the right direction.
  • You will finally have all your questions answered regarding which treatment options are best.

TIP – did you know that vitamin A can lead to bone loss or that too much vitamin D may also lead to other health problems or that vitamin K–the right form–is needed for bone growth? I could go on and on but this is the type of information you will receive in abundance in the webinar series.

My aunt lived until she was 102, but was in a nursing home due to multiple fractures. She was 5′8″ tall as a young adult and about 5′2″ when she died. I am creating this program because I don’t want the same situation to be your fate. If your problem is not handled correctly right now, your bones may continue to deteriorate. The choice is in your hands. This is one of the most important and cost-effective actions you can take to drastically lower your risk of becoming an osteoporosis statistic.

This program is NOT for you if…

  • You have been tested and you have normal bone mass.
  • You are on a good program with an expert who understands all the aspects of building and maintaining bone.
  • You have full and complete faith in your current conventional doctor to understand and treat all the subtle, potential causes of your condition, and to understand the full range of alternative and integrative therapies available.

However, it IS for you if. . .

  • You have a nagging suspicion that there’s more to your situation than what you have been told and you want to hear another opinion.
  • You want to learn from an expert with a deep understanding of the 5 pillars of bone health – nutrition, exercise, diagnosis (including blood and urine testing and bone density assessment), conventional medications, and supplementation.
  • You are a doctor or health care practitioner who wants to be able to help your patients with these issues and set them on the right path. If you can’t help your patients with this, they WILL seek conventional treatments.

How much would it be worth to you to set yourself on the right path, to wake up later this year and know that you are gaining bone mass, not losing it? To avoid unnecessary medications or useless supplements? To live an active and independent life for the rest of your life? It’s hard to put a price tag on these benefits, but let’s just say that the cost of this seminar will easily save you time and money.

For a very reasonable price, you can have access to information that could play a major role in finally beating this condition that has been plaguing you for years and robbing you of your health and peace of mind.

What’s more, I am offering this course 100% risk-free. If you are not satisfied with it at any point, just let me know and I will refund the entire fee, no questions asked. Sound like a fair deal?
