Dr. Simpson is uniquely qualified as a health consultant for women. For the past 20 years she has actively collaborated with her patients to promote partnerships devoted to their optimum heath and well-being. Dr. Simpson listens to her patients, applies her knowledge and experience, diagnoses problems, and works with her patients to develop realistic plans for improving their health.

Dr. Simpson is a chiropractic doctor and a Certified Clinical (bone) Densitometrist (C.C.D.). The International Society of Bone Densitometry awards the C.C.D. certification to those who have demonstrated a mastery of an approved body of knowledge in osteoporosis diagnosis though DXA and CT scans, peripheral x-ray devices and ultrasound devices. A Certified Clinical Densitometrist is required to demonstrate proficiency in reading and analyzing bone density test results, knowing what bone related lab tests are necessary to fully evaluate bone health and the medications used to treat osteoporosis.

Dr. Simpson is on the faculty of LIFE Chiropractic West and is currently teaching Gynecology. She teaches continuing education courses on Osteoporosis, Hormone Balancing and Digestive Disorders.

After you set up your initial consult you will receive a packet of information, including a questionnaire and food diary to be filled out before your appointment.

Follow-up office visits are to review new lab work and to discuss your treatment plan. Some people require a one-hour follow-up depending on questions and needs. We do not accept insurance but will provide you with a super-bill. If your insurance covers chiropractic care, you should receive some compensation. However, if your visit is via phone, insurance will not cover your visit.

Prior to your appointment, you will need to:

  • Fill out 8-page questionnaire that our office provides
  • Bring diagnostic lab work – blood, saliva, urine and bone densities, if you have them.
  • Keep a 7-day food diary (forms provided in the information packet). If 7-days are not possible prior to your consult, do as many days as you can.

FAQ’s

Should I order more lab tests before coming in for my first visit?

No, Dr. Simpson, will determine what lab work is indicated after your initial consult.

How many appointments will I need?

In the beginning, one to three visits is enough for most patients to be on the road to a sound recovery. After that, an office visit every 3 to 6 months are recommended.

What is your payment method?

Checks and cash are preferred but credit cards are accepted.

Can I call with a quick question?

Only for clarification please. Quite often patients think the question they are asking is a 5-minute question when, in fact, it will take a lot more time in discussion. Please set up a 15-minute phone, consult time.

Can I email my questions?

Simple questions for clarification only please. We have found that it is too time consuming to respond by email. Usually, an explanation requires a lengthy response.

Will I have to give up coffee or other foods I like?

Dr. Simpson, realizes that most people cannot make drastic changes; change must happen slowly and with guidance. However, it is important to realize that nutrition and exercise is central to the healing process.
