Should you and your children get tested for vitamin D deficiency?

If you can afford it, yes; it is that important. How much vitamin D do you and your children need? Which test is the correct one to order? I have written about vitamin D before and it’s frequently in the news, yet many people still are not taking this valuable supplement or are taking too little. Some rely on sun exposure, mistakenly thinking that if the sun is out, human skin will produce vitamin D. This is simply not true. I will be discussing vitamin D testing and supplementation in tomorrow’s webinar. I will also talk about sunbathing for vitamin D. Sunbathing at the right time of day–and right time of year!–will naturally produce vitamin D. Vitamins obtained naturally are always better. When your skin produces vitamin D, it also produces other important hormones. It’s comparable to the difference between getting vitamin C from a pill versus eating an orange. However, many people are unable to get produce enough vitamin D from sun exposure alone. My recommendation is that you reap the benefits of both. Conscious sun exposure combined with supplementation is what most people need. Come join us for this easy-to-attend and informative webinar.
